The Job
- Interpretation & Communication
- Interpret and convey information between the development team and Japanese clients.
- Translate technical documents and software requirements between Japanese and Vietnamese.
- Accurately communicate client requirements to the development team and relay feedback/results back to the client
- Project & Development Management
- Track project progress and ensure tasks are completed as planned.
- Report on project status, issues encountered, and propose solutions.
- Technical Support & Quality Assurance
- Understand technical requirements and support the development team during implementation
- Check product quality before final delivery to the client
- Client Communication
- Join meetings with Japanese clients to clarify requirements and respond promptly
- Clearly explain technical issues to non-technical clients
- Training & Team Development
- Guide engineers in understanding Japanese work culture and software development processes.
- Support engineers in learning Japanese and improving communication skills
Your Skills and Experience
- 2–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in Japanese offshore development projects
- Prefer candidates with work or study experience in Japan
- Japanese proficiency at JLPT N2 level or above, with strong communication skills in business and technical settings.
- Ability to translate technical documents and facilitate requirement discussions between clients and the project team.
- Understanding of software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
- Ability to read design documents, analyze requirements, and validate deliverables.
- Skills in progress tracking, team communication, and client reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields
Good to know
- Preferred: Certifications in project management (PMP, Scrum Master) or software engineering.
